Yard by Yard was started by Danielle and Adam Brown in 2010 with a goal of providing high-quality lawn care to the Brownville and Dexter areas.  With exceptional pricing and service, the business quickly grew to include Chaumont, Depauville, Three Mile Bay and Cape Vincent.  In 2019 Yard by Yard expanded to a small offering of hanging baskets along with offering bulk items such as mulch, topsoil, mushroom soil, crushed stone, and Pennsylvania blue stone products loaded into our customers trucks or trailers.  The fall of 2019 saw our full expansion into the greenhouse market with the construction of our first greenhouse.  We have since expanded to 5 greenhouses offering a wide variety of annuals, hanging baskets, vegetable plants, pre-planted pots during the spring, summer and fall.  In 2024, we began offering a large offering of zone appropriate perennials and trees that are tried and true to our area.  In 2025, due to the growth of the garden center we chose to end our weekly mowing services.  We saw it as a small price to pay in order to continue providing the best customer service and quality products our customers have come to know and love.
